SIDA 2020 gala dinner and award ceremony was held at Marina Bay Sands. Guests consisted of interior design professionals both local and international. The event which was considered the largest single gathering of interior designers in Singapore also provided networking and branding opportunities for building specialists to showcase products to decision makers within the industry. SIDA 2020 awards were given for completed and concept categories.

SIDA 2020 Gold in Hospitality Design – Hotel Communal Spaces Completed Category, was awarded to Singapore-based Hyla Architects for project 30 Bencoolen. Branding and redefining the street’s new identity, the newly renovated hotel addresses the relationship between the hotel streetscape with its human traffic.

SIDA 2020 Gold in Residential Design Completed Category, was awarded to Singapore-based Studio IF for project Courtyard House. Designed as a daytime city retreat for a client who is an avid tea drinker, book and nature lover, The Courtyard House is a private cluster of courtyard buildings set in the traditional Hutong Area in Beijing.

SIDA 2020 Bronze in Residential Design Concept Category, was awarded to Malaysian firm Wood & Col Sdn Berhad for project Versatile Neutral House. The house seeks to break the typical house hierarchy by rearranging semi-private living and dining to the back of the house in order to integrate family members with its beautiful outdoor surrounding yet maintaining their privacy.
